How to Use This Site

At first, using this site may seem a bit complicated, but really, it is easy to use once you know what each item represents.

Of course, this site has many features, that are generally easy to use (once you know that they exist). Some features we have are:

  • Event Calendar–displays dates and times of all important dates, competitions, and rehearsals. The Event Calendar is visible on the right sidebar.
  • Section Pages–pages dedicated to each section, which section leaders and managers can easily update, that are viewable to all registered members. You must register on the website in order to use/view section pages.
  • Sheet Music–feature coming soon.
  • Videos/Pictures–videos and pictures are available throughout the site, on many pages, including section pages. Full-band pictures and videos are available on the website, but it is up to section leaders on pictures and videos on section pages.
  • Announcements–If there is an announcement, you can bet it will be online, either on the main page, or section pages.
  • and much, much more.

RSS Anyone?in order to use RSS, you must have a RSS reader. Newer versions of Internet Explorer and all versions of Firefox include RSS Readers and Subscribers. Subscribing to RSS gives you the capability to have updates delivered to you.

In order to use many of these features, you need to register on this site. It is really easy, and opens up to many features, such as commenting on pages/posts, and viewing pages, calendar events, and announcements available only to members. Registering is easy–just enter information on the registration page, and once you register, remember to login every time you visit this site. This will give you access to features, that may be hidden without logging in.

If you are a section leader or manager, you will receive an updated functionality to edit pages that are relevant to your section. The webmaster will typically do this automatically, but if it is not done within 24 hours of registration, e-mail the webmaster.
